The mission of the Ascension Escuminac Volunteer Action Centre is to stimulate, promote and support volunteer action by bringing together multigenerational forces to meet the priority needs of the community, promote mutual aid and ensure food security. 

The vision of the Ascension Escuminac Volunteer Action Centre is to be the recognized hub and generator of volunteer action in our communities, ensuring the coordination and reach of volunteering throughout the territory.

Philosophy of action

At the Volunteer Action Centre, the volunteer is the real project manager.

Its strength, linked to other volunteers, makes the Centre a force for humanizing and improving the quality of life or well-being of the population.

For the Centre, volunteering is an instrument of personal and social development, and a significant resource for the population in need of material and human assistance.

An invaluable social reality, voluntary action is recognized, encouraged, and valued by the Centre.

We serve eight municipalities in the MRC Avignon, western sector, as well as the indigenous reserve in our sector.
